Jess-Luisa Flynn
Jess began her journey as an actor with The Royal Court Young People's Theatre. She later trained in Los Angeles at The Ivanna Chubbuck Studio and has studied improvisational comedy. Jess has worked across stage and screen and has written her own work.
She played Sibyl Fawlty in the official Fawtly Towers live stage show, produced by John Cleese.
Jess works extensively in the live performance world, which intersects with cabaret, live comedy, and immersive theatre. She specialises in character comedy.
She has appeared in Channel 4’s ‘Ministry of Justice’ and in BBC/PBS's 'Odd Squad' as 'Dottie Dubloon'.
Jess also works as a presenter and has hosted stages at festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown and Secret Garden Party. As well as many private events for companies including Twitter, Facebook and Google.
She also devises her own live shows, including, Space Invasion Gameshow with her comedy collaborator Neil Frost.
Jess casts and directs Immersive productions, both for her company Wide Eyes Immersive, which she founded in 2018.
She has made work for Annabel’s Mayfair, High Snobiety, KOKO, Sketchers and Secret Garden Party.
She was approached to direct an ambitious immersive show called ‘The Mad Hatter’s Gin & Tea Party’, which was transferring from Los Angeles, produced by Fever London and Kit & Caboodle.
She workshopped, directed, and starred in the production, which ran for seven months in Notting Hill, London.
Jess has appeared in commercials for brands such as Galaxy, Domino's, Moonpig, Heineken and Amnesty International.
She also starred opposite David Walliams in the promotional ad for his Talk Show.
And in Space Nights, a mini-series made for Audi, shot in South Africa.
Activism
Jess is also committed to making work that benefits the community and highlights issues she cares about, such as climate change, saving the NHS and social justice.
Jess has worked with XR and is developing work with the Right To Roam campaign.
